Invitation to the Vernissage: Heads or Tails

We are happy to invite you to the opening of the exhibition Heads or Tails by Milica Dukic, at the Ruth Cohn Center, on Saturday 16 June at 17h, Ecole d’Humanité, in Hasliberg Goldern.

Heads or Tails
Milica Dukic

Milica Dukic is showing her large art pieces for the first time from two sides: She makes the process of the creation of her art visible. The exhibition title Heads or Tails is a playful invitation to move around the exhibited pieces. On one side we can see printed photographs from her home in Serbia, situations with people seeming randomly yet beautifully composed. We observe the smaller and larger embroidery stitches, neatly following the printed surface, the traces of wearing out of the print from the many times the canvas was rolled and unrolled to be worked on in countless hours of embroidering.
Previously the artist showed the reverse side only; now we get to see the whole picture. On the other side the canvas shows us the less conscious more intuitive and necessary part. This side appears to show the network of connections and a springboard for our own inspiration. Not manipulated by the artist, it gives us a glimpse behind the curtain.

The Ecole is selling Haus am Bach and Haus Sandra

Dear Ecolianer,

I’m writing to inform you about recent developments in the area of strategic property management here at the Ecole. The Ecole has reached the mid-term, strategic decision to consolidate its real estate holdings closer to the heart of the school’s campus. For this reason, the decision was made to sell the external houses Urseni, Sandra, and Haus am Bach. As part of this broader strategy a new house is slated to be built where the tennis court currently stands next to Westhaus.

Haus Urseni has already been sold and Sandra and Haus am Bach are going on the market now. Even before the official announcement of these properties for sale was made, we noticed a high level of interest from the broader Ecole network and we are making this Cyber-Announcement to clarify certain aspects related to their sale.

Wiessmann Realtors (Immobilien Agentur Wiessmann) has been contracted for the sale of these properties. Because the Ecole is not involved in the marketing nor showing of these houses, should you have any interest in these properties, we request that you contact Béatrice Wiessmann directly. You will find her contact information in the accompanying flyer.

Sincerely,
Enrico Simen
